Chroniosaurus dongusensis skull

Chroniosaurus is an extinct genus of reptiliomorph from upper Permian (upper Tatarian age) deposits in Russia in the Novgorod, Orenburg and Vologda Regions, dating from 258-252 mya. It was first named by Tverdokhlebova in 1972. The type species is Chroniosaurus dongusensis. It is related to Chronisuchus and is grouped in the chroniosuchia order.
