Deltavjatia rossicus skull

Deltavjatia rossicus was a Late Permian herbivore reptile found in Upper Tatarian layers at Kotel'nich on the Vyatka River in western Russia. Deltavjatia belongs to the class reptilia, the order procolophonomorpha, and the family Pareiasauriidae. Deltavjatia was named a subtaxon of Pareiasauridae by M.S.Y. Lee in 1997.  It represents the Severodvinian Horizon of the Kotelnich faunal subassemblage.    

The holotype of D. rossicus is a skull and lower mandible (PIN 2212/1), illustrated in this drawing. It was found in the Urpalov Formation in Kotelnich, on the Vyatka River. The body length of this herbivore was 1.5 m (5 ft).
