Pangaea in the Early Triassic Induan stage

Globe showing Pangea in the Early Triassic Induan stage (map: Athena Review).

At the the start of the Early Triassic period, during the Induan stage (252-251 mya), all continental plates were joined into a megacontinent named Pangea ("all earth") except China, Indonesia, and the Cimmerian zone including Thailand and parts of Turkey. The latter areas were then islands in the Tethys Sea.
