Prosimian vs. Simian skulls



Contrast between prosimian and simian skull bones (after) 

                                                                    

One of the differences between the skulls of prosimians (such as the lemur at left) and simians (such as the monkey at right) is whether the frontal bone is fused. In the prosimian, it is unfused; in the simian, it is fused.
