The rear facade of the Temple of Hathor is covered with traditional relief carvings of various deities and rulers. Between them are two sculptured lions' heads serving as drains, of which one is shown in this 1867 photo byAntonio Beato.  

Below, partly covered by rubble in this image, are larger relief carvings, including those of Cleopatra and her son Caesarion (shown at far left), whose father was Julius Caesar.
