Kom Ombo: Temple relief of Sobek in Hypostyle Hall (1895)    .

Relief of Sobek and Isis with a Ptolemaic ruler in the Hypostyle Hall (de Morgan 1895).

This rendering from Jacques de Morgan's (1895) report on Kom Ombo shows a relief from the east side of the Hypostyle Hall in the Temple of Horus. The crocodile-headed deity Sobek is shown at left with the goddess Isis standing behind him; both carry the cross-like ankh, symbol of divinity.

Facing them is a Ptolemaic ruler, being supported by two female divine attendants. The relief dates from the period 180-50 BC.
