Margaret Murray (1865-1965), who began work in Egyptology as an assistant to Flinders Petrie in the 1890s, later worked at the Manchester Museum. Here she has completed the unwrapping of a mummy, representing one of two brothers found at Rifeh by Flinders Petrie (shown in the photo at far left).

The tomb of the two brothers from Rifeh included a major papyrus manuscript which Murray translated, published by the Manchester Museum in 1910.
