Dionysias: House foundations from the Ptolemaic period

House foundations at Dionysias.

Foundations of  various municipal building and house structures have been uncovered in a series of excavations at Dionysias, starting in the 1940s by Schwartz and Wild, and more recently by the Egyptian Antiquities Department, and an Italian expedition in 2013. Notable non-military structures include at least three Roman baths, and remains of Roman villas, some with interior wall paintings.
