Dionysos: Temple relief of  the crocodile god Sobek-Re

Relief of Sobek in the Temple of Sobek-Re at Dionysias

This relief of Sobek-Re, the Fayum crocodile-headed god, was carved in the limestone wall of the temple dedicated to Sobek god in Dionysias

The crocodile-headed figure in the relief holds an ankh, or cross-like device in the right hand, a symbol of divinity. Another such symbol is the staff held upright in the left hand.
