Dionysias: Temple relief of  the crocodile god Sobek-Re    .

Relief of Sobek in the Temple of Sobek-Re at Dionysias

Within the temple dedicated to Sobek-Re at Qasr Qarun, in the Fayum town of Dionysias, is this relief of the crocodile-headed god carved in the limestone wall.

The crocodile-headed figure in the relief holds an ankh, or cross-like device in the right hand, a symbol of divinity. Another such symbol is the staff held upright in the left hand.
