Boudicca, queen of the Iceni, led a revolt against the Romans in AD 60-61. Allied with several other tribes, the Iceni sacked London, St. Albans, and Colchester.
During the revolt there were large issues of Iceni silver coins, some eventually buried in caches containing hundreds of examples. This silver unit from AD 61 shows a stylized Iceni Warrior, wearing a feathered headdress.
